Abstract
|

|
To investigate the changes of testicular cell population during the late stage of fetal development, light microscopic morphometric analysis of the testes of a total of 18 Korean male fetuses were carried out.
The results were as follows:
1. The numbers of spermatogonium E and those of Leydig cell declined gradually with fetal age, whereas those of spermatogonium A and Sertoli cell were stationary.
2. The spermatogonial. cells degenerated and the numbers of these cells inclined during the late stage of fetal development.
